Makes learning Spanish super easy, it's amazing.p.s. it's so fun.I wanted to learn one after the other, but that wasn't working for me, so now I'm just learning them all, listening to them when I feel like it, which is everyday, all the time, so it works :)Can't this be cheaper though. Since it's been so easy to learn a language using Pimsleur, I've been splurging. well, I've taken Pimsleur German (I'm up to level 2 on that one), Pimsleur Spanish, Pimsleur French and Pimsleur Irish. I'm going to Mexico for a month for a Spanish immersion class and that costs some $$ Why hasn't anyone else come up with a program like Pimsleur. Learn in Your Car: Complete Language Course: Spanish is good too.
The key aspect though, is that it gets you speaking from the start, so you won't as easily clam up when it's time to speak to a person. Pimsleur is by far my favorite method of picking up a language without being immersed. It's literally a one on one tutor for thirty-sixty minutes a day, and shapes your pronunciation so well that native speakers fire back at you as though you speak their language. It pulls you out of that shell. I recommend any of Pimsleur's courses.
I also own Rosetta Stone and the Fluenz programs. I liked it so much I ordered the total Spanish I program. I first tried a Pimsleur "Quick and Simple" introductory package. Rosetta Stone is a good vocabulary building program, but I feel Pinsleur is better at actually teaching sentence structure and expression. I have followed the instructions and spent 30 minutes each day working through a lesson and am having phenomenal results. The program teaches useful phrases and sentences used in everyday conversation and at the same time naturally and subtly introduces verb conjugation in the phrases and sentences. I plan to buy Spanish 2 when I have completed Spanish 1.My only complaint about the program is that one of the 16 disks is faulty. I contacted Pimsleur and they responded that they would send me a new program and I could return the one I have.can't beat that.
I have completed the entire Pimsleur Spanish series. In addition to the effectiveness, I loved that I could be engaged in a variety of other tasks while listening and practicing. I have always wanted to learn, but failed on numerous occasions. Shockingly, this method worked beautifully. When I have an opportunity to speak Spanish, I am always complimented on my "accent." Just learned that Pimsleur is releasing Spanish IV in 2010. I can't wait and I hope they will begin working on Spanish V immediately after.
This is a new copy of Pimsleur and I'm very pleased with the immediate delivery. Thanks.
